Tuesday, July 7th Field Trip: Blooms & Butterflies 2009, Franklin Park Conservatory

This Tuesday the Little Dreamers, Big Believers toddlers and pre-schoolers will be heading to Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus for the Blooms & Butterflies Exhibit.

If you are a parent and have yet to sign your permission slip, please see Sarah, Heather or Jessica.

Here is additional information about the Blooms and Butterflies exhibit at Franklin Park Conservatory:

Experience the emergence of exotic butterflies and see them in flight amidst tropical blooming foliage. Daily butterfly releases, led by Conservatory staff members, occur daily at 1 and 3 p.m. Visitors can watch the same metamorphosis at home with Painted Lady Butterfly larva available for purchase from Botanica, the Conservatory’s gift shop and greenhouse.

This month is going to be all about building things. After we all know how to pitch our own tents we’ll be taking a dive into the sea for some under water adventures including painting our own sea mural, an ongoing project that will continue for two weeks.
